Tranquil Sunset
In 'Tranquil Sunset,' I wanted to capture the resilience and strength of the Ukrainian people amidst the turmoil of war. The sunflower, with its slight bend downward, symbolizes Ukraine—bowed but unbroken, burdened yet resilient.
In the face of adversity, the sunflower stands as a beacon of hope and perseverance. It is a reminder that even in the darkest of times, there is beauty and strength to be found. As the national flower of Ukraine, the sunflower represents the unbreakable spirit of its people, their unwavering resolve to endure and rise again.
With each layer of paint, I poured the emotions of hope and solidarity. Using a more subdued palette and gentler movements, I brought to life the sunflower's graceful bow, a testament to the courage and fortitude of the Ukrainian nation.
This is an original, 15” X 22”, framed painting from my poured watercolor collection. Each painting is created with watercolor, but unlike traditional watercolor paintings, these paintings are made without a brush (except for a few final touches at the very end of the process). Each original painting will come framed, and ready to hang. Please allow 2-3 weeks for orders to be received, as they must be carefully packaged and shipped to arrive in perfect condition at their new home.
